1. Controller

2. Server log files

When you visit this site, the web server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested address, status code, amount of data transferred and browser/operating system details. This is done to run the site securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and the data is deleted after at most 3 days.

3. Contact form and email

If you write to me via the form, I store your name, email address and message to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once the request is dealt with and no retention obligations apply. If enabled, I am notified about new messages via a Discord webhook, which transmits the message content to Discord.

4. Public leaderboards (mini game and achievements)

In the hidden mini game “Star Power” you enter a player name. If you submit a result, your player name, score and game statistics (hits, streak) are stored permanently on the server and shown publicly on the leaderboard (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — by submitting you consent). Please do not use your real name as a player name. Your IP address is not stored for this. I delete entries on request — just write to me via the contact form.

Achievements leaderboard (optional): The hidden achievements of this site are stored in your browser. If you add yourself to the achievements leaderboard, your chosen name, the list of your unlocked achievements, the time of the last change and a checksum of a random key (the key itself stays in your browser) are stored permanently on the server and shown publicly (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — by joining you consent). Please do not use your real name. Your IP address is not stored for this. You can delete your entry yourself at any time with “Leave” in the achievements window; I also delete entries on request.

5. External content (Spotify, YouTube)

Players from Spotify or YouTube are loaded only after you click. Only then is a connection to the provider established and your browser transmits, among other things, your IP address; the provider's privacy policy applies. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

6. Language selection, fonts, cookies and local storage

Automatic language selection: When you visit, the server evaluates the language set in your browser (Accept-Language header) and — if your host or content delivery network provides it — your country of origin, in order to show you the matching language version. This information is not stored (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you choose the language yourself using the switch, a cookie (cookie name “epyx_lang”, 1 year) is set that stores only your choice (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).

All fonts are served from this server — no connection to Google Fonts or similar is made. No tracking or advertising cookies are used. Your browser's local storage only holds your choice between light and dark theme and — if you discover the site's hidden achievements — your progress. This data only leaves your device if you voluntarily join the achievements leaderboard (see section 4).

7. External links

Links to Spotify, Apple Music, Twitch, Discord, GitHub etc. lead to third-party sites. Once you click, you leave this site; the respective provider is responsible for data processing there.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
